About Science
Our Science workshops and after school clubs focus on developing children’s skills across our key areas of Art, Technology, Oracy, Maths and Science in a fun practical way. They are developed by Yvonne Hardman, one of our directors and an experienced primary science specialist in conjunction with our whole team.

Our science workshops are designed to be fun, engaging and practical hooking into children’s naturally curious nature of the world. Rather than mimic the knowledge based approach of the current primary curriculum they focus on developing enquiry skills. Anyone who has ever been around children knows that the question they ask the most is, “Why?” Our workshops are carefully designed to allow children the time to explore their questions using fun contexts and scenarios to begin to develop their critical thinking skills. Children are actively encouraged to experiment and talk about what they are doing in a way which the current overcrowded school curriculum doesn’t allow teachers time to do. The children are challenged and workshops can adapted easily for a range of ages and needs.

Some of our most popular workshops are outlined below, we can however create bespoke workshops around any parts of the curriculum.

Vicious Volcanoes
This is one of our most popular and fun workshops for primary aged pupils. It gives them the opportunity to learn some of the earth science around volcanoes before developing some chemistry skills to make their own. It's messy, it's fun and we love it.
